One of Bill Nighy's favourite spots in the city — Secret London

Secret London sat down with the actor Bill Nighy to hear his idea of a perfect London day — and we were glad to find dinner with us on the list, alongside a bookshop wander and an afternoon at the Courtauld or the National Gallery. They told our story kindly: founded in 1971, a hot spot from the early days for artists, creatives and the odd politician, and still true to our roots after the move to D'Arblay Street in 2021. They picked up on the things closest to us — handmade pasta, fresh ingredients over trends, and a room we hope feels more like a "home from home" than somewhere you eat and leave, with Giampaolo Tomassetti's artwork on the walls.
